The best choice for government agencies, police, intellgence, and homeland security personnel. The weatherproof case and removable magnetic mount allow for covert installation.Like all Trackstick devices, Super Trackstick works anywhere on the planet. Its traveled locations can be shown via a red line that is traced on satellite photos and 3D terrain using the latest mapping technologies from Google Earth. Super Trackstick continuously records its exact route, stop times, speed, direction, and other valuable information, all of which can be quickly downloaded and viewed on your computer. It even has its own temperature recorder to help monitor the surrounding environment. A vibration detector, combined with proprietary low-power GPS technology, helps to make this an ideal energy-saving GPS device.

Horrible Customer Support

Buyer Beware! Trackstick customer support is absolutely horrible. I've had our Super Trackstick for a couple years now and rarely use it, but once in a while I dust it off and try to get it working again. Any emails to their customer support all seem to get routed through one very useless person who after providing you with a couple of useless and insulting support tips like changing batteries and erasing the memory finally tells you shes done helping you and you should buy a new one. Totally inappropriate. We followed her advice one and upgraded from the original Trackstick to the Super... only to run into more problems.

Attached video is illustration of latest rapid red/green blinking issue they failed to provide support on.
They don't even have a support forum or community to self serve the issues when they seem to be incapable of providing support.

Aside from that, device is nice a rugged and seems to do exactly what we need it to.. track expeditions... if it weren't for the horrible company and support :/

Works great for paddling, hiking, biking and adventure racing

Reviewed by Adventurer, 2009-11-03

I have been using the Super Trackstick for a couple years now having used the two previous versions. My main uses have been for tracking my kayaking, hikes, mountain bike rides and my adventure racing. The super trackstick has worked very well in all cases. It sometimes takes a few minutes to lock on when first turned on but after it locks on, it usually maintains good signal even around mountains and under very heavy tree cover. I will occasionally have data drops that last no more than a minute. I use the high power settings and track every 5 seconds and I do not have any issues with battery length, having done a few 30 hour adventure races with over 90% of the battery left after each. The software could be better at letting you select which tracks you want to work with or export but this is not a real problem. The geotagging features also work well. The trackstick has become an essential part of my outdoor activities and a great way to remember my adventures.

track stick works for me

Reviewed by Tangsir34, 2009-10-05

Track Stick works fine and with no expensive monthly GPS traking fee. The software is great but needs time to learn all the features. I used it in my van and I was able to catch my cheating worker who used my van for his personal use and not be at work site on time. Thanks Track stick. The only problem with track stick is the battery runs out of juice every 4days and there is still 60% memory left. I used Duracell batteries but now I am going to use rechargeable batteies , see how it will work. I wish There was a way to hot wire it to my van.

Close, but not close enough

I have used the Super Trackstick for about a month and find that, at best, it is quite temperamental. Specifically, its accuracy can be off by half a block, a parked car can show as moving its location multiple times, the batteries die with less than fifty hours of use, when the batteries die the Trackstick suddenly remembers days worth of previously erased data in its memory, and when the car first starts to move it can take over a mile before the first data point is logged. Its software is just short of user friendly, but the Google Earth interface is fantastic. In short, this is a fancy toy.

Watch out for the magnet

Reviewed by Carey Stranahan, 2008-09-04

While the magnet is powerful, apparently it is not powerful enough. I put it on a vehicle, and the vehicle came back without it. It may have been wet, and it was a large vehicle that bounces around, but it shouldn't have fallen off.
