A safety zone is a personalized virtual boundary
around a location that you’ve chosen. When your car enters or
leaves an active safety zone, you can be alerted via email and/or
text message (your choice.) You can create up to 10 safety zones, 5
of which can be active simultaneously at any given time. Safety
zones can be quickly and easily turned on and off via
Zoombak.com.With "Power OFF" alerts, you can opt-in to be notified promptly when your device has been turned off along with the current or last known location information.
With low battery alerts, you can opt-in to be notified when your device battery is at 25% capacity. If your Zoombak locator powers off due to a low battery, you can receive a second alert advising you that your Zoombak locator has been powered off, along with the last known location of the device

After using the Zoombak on my dog, I find that the device doesn't stay put around the dog's collar. Like most dogs, my dog shakes to cleans himself of debris and when he does, the device ends up underneath his throat which makes it hard for the GPS to give me a location. I have to hope and pray that he will rollover on his back and I can get a location then. Other than that, it works. When I used the device for the first time, my dog was shocked to see me come get him and beside himself the second time, but the third time he fixed me. The third time he ran out of the garage before I could put the device on him, so I assumed he would be in his same location to no avail. I had to relie on him to come home on his own. Smart dog!
Didn't work for us. They care more about money than the item

I purchased this device for my father who has dementia, as we were
afraid he would get lost. It didn't work well as we weren't able to
track him when we went on a test walk. My father became too ill to
leave the house soon after we purchased the zoombak so we never
really used it. My mother set up a credit card for the montly fee.
My mother soon thereafter suffered a stroke and was unable to
communicate. The credit card continued to be charged until the
credit card expired. We were then sent a letter threating to turn
us into collection and putting a negative report on their credit
record. I've tried to communicate with zoombak to clear this up and
they won't help me since I am not the customer. I have all the
account information and passwords but they still won't help. I've
even given them a legal document that says I can represent my
parents but they still won't work with me. I think they want the
monthly fees so bad that the don't care about our situation. Pretty
bad when a company contiues to press you for payments under these
circumstances. I would steer clear of zoombak!

The product advertises no hidden fees -- but that's not quite true.
If you cancel within 12-months of activation, early termination fee
of $100. On top of that, they will turn your device into brick and
you won't be able to pass it on for someone else to use.
It's a decent product, but the poor contracting makes it difficult
to like.

is the most reasonable available ..I purchased this product at
radioshack then you pay $10/month for the service
Pros and Cons:
Pros: better than most things available cost/product wise
Cons: I had to figure out how to get it into a waterproof case
..and then had to use a harness to keep the waterproof case on
...bit of a pain but feasible ..can give you product names for
these since did research to find smallest and most reasonable
things ...but the product only works if on the back of their
neck/back ..not front of the collar ..and it likes to "slide down"
..so it needs to be fixated to the back some how ..other problem is
..does not work as well amongst trees ...but not too bad (I'm
surrounded by tons of huge ones ...sometimes I have to try to click
locate online 5 or more times until it finds it when in trees)
....also, it only lasts a few days before it needs to be repowered
again ..and the more trees around ..the more quickly it runs out of
power due to working harder ...so ...it's not perfect ..but is good
for when you go away and want to keep track of them ....for an
everyday thing ..not perfect ..but not too bad. I don't even bother
using it anymore because it takes so long to hook it all up and
then have to recharge it ..and usually will get a bad or no signal
when it's working ...so ..well ..we just don't bother with it
anymore.

this is probably a great unit, if you are in T mobile cell coverage. if you are not it wont work at all. if i had known that before buying i wouldnt be stuck with a useless unit like i am now.
